The Uniform

I think part of the reason I see myself as more of a ‘beauty blogger’ and less of a ‘fashion’ one is because I have a classic style, well a uniform I suppose, that I stick to and love. Don’t get me wrong I love fashion, always have and always will. And I love a trend as much as the next person, but I prefer style over fashion.

I love the silhouette of a skinny jean and a well made coat paired with a good pair of boots and a bag, and I love high waisted skirts with loose shirts and ankle boots. I occasionally opt for something different altogether and will throw on a floor length jersey Acne dress, but overall I just love dressing in styles that are 100% me, not trying to be anything more or less.

This outfit has pretty much been my current uniform for the past 8 days and I can’t seem to stray from it. These Maje jeggings are an absolute masterpiece, cool denim and ripped at the front, and the most luxuriously soft figure hugging material at the back. I haven’t been able to take them off since I picked them up in the sale early last week. Similarly these ASH wedge trainers are the only shoe I can comfortably walk all around London in and still feel a little glamorous. I’m obsessed with this Maje parka, so cosy, yet the hood just adds that extra twist of glamour. My latest handbag edition – this mini Balenciaga completes the look – comfortable, easy going yet has an edge of polish to pull a look together. My final accessory for this long awaited Winter sun (hurrah) are my trusty pair of Bottega Veneta sunglasses, which I love because they aren’t just plain black. Now let’s see how long I can wear the same outfit for before someone notices…
