The first actually hot day in a while called for a summery dress and sandals. I bought this peachy number from Forever 21 last weekend as well as these shoes more here. I worked from home all morning editing and in the afternoon my sister came round to celebrate her last day of study leave before going back to school to finish the term (damn AS year – you can’t leave after you exams finish boo!). We sunbathed on my balcony for a little while reading and then popped over to House of Rush on Piccadilly where we both got Summer ready with a shellac manicure (my sister) and a shellac pedicure for me, however we both chose the same colour – an orangey red called Lobster Rolls which is just stunning. The treatments were lovely and we then headed over to Covent Garden to meet our mother and wander around Zara and Beyond Retro. It was in Beyond Retro where I first heard “goodbye horses” – having not seen Silence of the Lambs the song didn’t freak me out as it did my sister and it’s become my new favourite and has been on repeat all weekend!
We then went to the Opera Tavern for some delicious tapas with some friends and then off to the theatre to see Bill Nighy and Carey Mulligan in Skylight which was far from amazing. But it was a fun day and evening nevertheless and my outfit saw me right through until 11pm, I did smuggle a little leather jacket in my bag though for extra warmth!
