Sunday Stuff #18 Summer in the City

Today’s Sunday stuff post is totally inspired by the instagram I posted on Friday with a bit of jazzing up. It’s Sunday, it’s Summer and it’s hot! This calls for easier, silkier, more luxe products as you want a beautiful complexion that is heat proof yet to look like you have nothing but good health. The star product of this look is the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow– I don’t think there has ever been a product that I’ve used religiously through three consecutive seasons. This is just wonderful, and I’m now being heavier handed with the bronzer and lighter with the highlighter, but it just sculpts the face and adds warmth to your foundation. Speaking of foundation, I’m finding that when I’m not slapping on Smashbox CC cream and want something slightly more velvety I’m opting for an oldie but a goodie – CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua – man is this stuff the perfect smart Summer foundation to really keep things looking natural, even and just matte enough without being too severe.

On my lips and tips – nails are courtesy of Formula X for Sephora which is just freaking amazing, this shade Power Source just screams Summer. The formula is also incredibly glossy and everyone thinks that I have shellac! On the lips is arguably one of the nicest sheer lip  products I’ve ever had the pleasure of trying; Burberry Lip Glow Balm Orange Poppy leaves a sheer wash of colour with just a pop of orange, but it can be built up for a more concentrated pop of colour. It’s also seriously nourishing and makes you look as though you’ve just eaten an ice lolly!

Lastly but not leastly I do love a Summer fragrance switch up, and today I’ll be wearing the new Prada Candy Florale which is lighter and more floral than the original (which I loved by the way) and has a lovely lasting time meaning that I’ll be smelling it all day – mmmm.

So that’s my Sunday stuff/summer in the city beauty essentials – what are yours?

This past week I finally organised my whole stash into a clear Muji style cube, and it has changed my life. I can now see and find all my makeup, so I am changing things up a lot more than usual. So yesterday I used my Tom Ford Unabashed palette, Tom Ford Flamingo lipstick and Guerlain Terracotta bronzer (the bronzer in the palette is really a very shimmer highlighter/eyeshadow rather than a bronzer.) I went out for drinks, and this look rocked.
