Weekend Beauty

 

Does anyone else agree that there are two types of weekends? The kinds where you stay in pyjamas and watch back to back Friends and get a chinese takeaway in front of the X Factor, and types where you seem to be run off your feet running errands, seeing friends, eating too much and probably drinking too much too?

Well this post is for those latter weekends, when you’re on the go. You’d rather lie in than wash and blow dry your hair because let’s face it, it’s the weekend, so this is where Co Lab dry shampoo comes to the rescue. I’m obsessed with their dry shampoo, it’s unlike any other I’ve used (full review here), their London scent is my current favourite. I just blast that into my roots and my hair is good to go. I make sure that my makeup feels a little more special than usual by using my NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer + Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight Celestial powder (dreamy combo) under eyes, and then go for a slightly more smokey than usual eye to see me from day to night, for that I love using a Kiko shadow stick in 05 for a real bronzed smokey look. I then ensure that I’m smelling good throughout the day by taking my Travalo filled with my current favourite scent (Jo Malone Orange Blossom FYI). As for lips, well I’ve banged on enough about being lip liner obsessed here, and currently MAC Soar and Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk are the only products allowed on my lips.

In terms of outfits – keep it cool but simple, I like going for a simple long sleeve fitted top, skinny jeans, over the knee boots and a printed faux fur jacket (I can’t resist a little leopard print!).
