Two days in Milan…

As I’m travelling around so many amazing places this Summer I thought I’d put together mini guides including what sort of thing to wear, where to stay and where to eat. I hope you enjoy!

After only arriving in Milano on Thursday (we hopped on a plane form Heathrow to Nice and drove) I feel like I’ve already got quite a good feel of the place. We’re staying at the Park Hyatt which is super swish, air conditioned and exactly what you’d want and expect of a hotel in Milan. The fashion here is different to what I expected, the girls dress a little more paired down than in London, but still aren’t afraid to show off some boho style. I expected a more conservative approach to fashion and was pleasantly surprised to see a Euro version of London style.

What to wear:

If you’re visiting in the Summer, a pair of denim cut offs, a cream t-shirt or camisole, a pair of thonged sandals and a Prada (or Prada-like) handbag with a pair of huge sunglasses.

In the Beauty Bag:

For a day of sightseeing and shopping a little powder like Rimmel Stay Matte or Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow will do wonders to de-shine your complexion. Other than that a slick of mascara like L’Oreal Telescopic and something pretty on the lips like Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti is all you need!

Where to eat:

Da Giacomo Argenario serves up typical Milanese food in a beautiful surrounding, overlooking the Duomo. Make sure to specify for a table on the terrace to enjoy the views!

Where to visit:

It seemed to me that most of the action was right by our hotel near Via Tomasso Grossi and by the Duomo. However Via Della Spiga is like Sloane St with a twist- great for luxury shopping and celebrity spotting.

Sorry this guide isn’t the best but it gives a little snippet into Milano!
