Tom Ford – All Day Staples

I’m currently in the midst of a love affair with Tom Ford makeup, so much so that I can’t simply fit it all in to one post, instead I’ll be drip feeding you my TF favourites over the course of the month so that I don’t over load you.

I had to discuss these two products first as both of them lasted a thirteen hour day trip to Paris yesterday, something which really impressed me. With eyeshadows, I have very oily lids, so they tend to either disappear or slip around a lot throughout the day (even with the help of a primer), so I was incredible surprised and happy to noticed that Tom Ford’s Cognac Sable stayed intact throughout an incredibly long day. All of my careful buffing and blending (with my MAC 217 natch) paid off and I was left with the same sultry day time appropriate smokey eye come 9pm as I’d had that morning at 6:00am. The palette may be pricey but I can assure you that it’s not just ultra luxe packaging that you’re paying for.

The second product that I’m going to discuss today is this gorgeous blush in the shade Frantic Pink, it’s a Winters pink as it is cool toned and girly, yet it really warms up a sallow complexion. It again lasted the majority of the day (before I removed all of my face makeup at 5pm, more on that another day and in my vlog!). I love how it imparted the perfect amount of rosiness to my cheeks without making me feel over done or too blushed up. It’s now a firm staple in my makeup bag.

Next TF post will be all about lips, and believe me there’s a lot to say on that matter!

How would you compare this eyeshadow palette to the CT one? Currently debating between the two. Might also have to get that blush too! How dreamy! X x

Oh, Tom Ford makes me dream! And that Cognac Sable palette is indeed what dreams are made of 🙂 I also really like your nail polish colour xxx

AGH so pretty! Love that you chose really wearable colors, I hate it when I buy expensive makeup and the colors are so out of my comfort zone so they end up collecting dust in my drawer. These I would use almost everyday!

Gosh the packaging of Tom Ford products is just so so gorgeous! At the moment I either only have single eyeshadows or big palettes so I think splurging on a quad I could easily take around would be a great idea 😉 I’ve heard such positive reviews of the Tom Ford ones! And being quite the blush junky, I don’t know if I’ll be able to resist such a beauty!
