I’ve noticed that over the last few weeks my skin has changed a fair bit. The last remnants of my tan have faded, leaving me with foundations which are a touch too dark and my skin (whilst still prone to an oily t zone and blemishes around my lower cheeks and jaws) has become insufferably dehydrated – especially towards the end of the day when all I can think about is getting home and scrubbing all of my makeup off with a nice cleansing balm.
The Winter has well and truly set in and we’re nowhere near the end. After using (and loving) the La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra moisturiser, I was finding it just a little too lightweight to deal with my newfound dehydrated and dry skin. I needed something heavier that would counteract the dehydration without clogging up my pores and making my oily prone t zone more so. Well, ladies and gentleman I have found the answer, and yes it is yet another French pharmacy brand that has recently become available over here – Bioderma Hydrabio Riche. Not sure where to begin as I could gush about these products for the next few paragraphs, but I’m going to keep it snappy (ish).
Firs thing is first, the packaging is perfect, in a little tube with an awesome pump, no need for fancy glass jars or squeezy tubes, the pump dispenses the perfect amount of product (just over pea sized). Secondly, the scent of the product is just gorgeous, very French and perfumed, but not in an overpowering way at all. Thirdly, it glides onto the skin and then sinks in beautifully and slowly making it the perfect base for makeup as well as the most nourishing night time moisturiser. I love using just a touch more at night, to really work it into the skin.
Since using, I’ve noticed the overall quality of my skin has improved, oiliness has actually diminished and blemishes are less frequent. Now I hate referring to beauty products as ‘miracles’…buuuut, I would say this is damn close.
Available from independent pharmacies.
This sounds like a lovely cream, I am prone to blemishes in the same places as you and have combination yet dehydrated skin, so think this would be great for me!
