Is anyone else guilty of wearing the exact same makeup look for 6 weeks straight and then getting slightly sick of it (and all of the products it is comprised of)?? Well I’ve been wearing a certain eyeshadow palette to death, and the same old lipstick and contoured cheek since Christmas and this week I decided to change things up a bit.
This Burberry Beauty Rose Pink No.10 eyeshadow palette has the perfect season transitional shades – the soft dove grey still feels relevant to Winter without being too dark and harsh, it has an illuminating quality to it which really brightens the eyes. The darker and paler pinks are also amazing for contouring and creating a beautiful SS14 worthy look. I’ve been loving wearing this to switch up my makeup rut.
Similarly, due to using Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow religiously since I got it, I had completely neglected blush. I just felt that the heavy contour was all the cheek action I needed. However, I got the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Love Glow blusher for my birthday and have been loving having a rosy glow on the apples of my cheeks. It has updated my makeup look to take me into the darkest part of the Winter which will then lead us to Spring. Do you ever get into makeup ruts and then relish in a bit of a change up?
