The Bronzed Smokey Holiday Eye

Whilst for the days my make-up has hovered on non-existant, for the evenings I’ve decided to ramp things up a little and go all out with a bronzed smokey eye. It is hassle free and perfect for those of us who are more at home with a Rimmel Scandaleyes shadow stick than an seven different types of eyeshadow brushes.

Firstly I use Chanel Aqua Vitalumiere for my base to create a velvety finish, I don’t want anything too heavy or cakey as I still want to keep my make up light as I’m on holiday. A little limited edition MAC bronzer circa Summer 2010 is dabbed on the high points of my cheekbones to create a slight glimmer (I also love the holiday themed seashell packaging- totally bought it for that alone!), then on to the eyes.

I put a little of the darkest bronze seen in the above pallet which is from a brand called Blink82 all over the lid, similarly the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadowstick in Bad Girl Bronze could be smudged all over the lid to create a similar dark bronzed effect, I make sure to pack more colour on to the outer corners of the eyes. Next I line my undereye with the Shadowstick in Bad Girl Bronze and then put a little Rimmel Liquid Liner on to the top lash line, I finish off with lashings of Benefit They’re Real and I’ve got intense chocolate-y bronzed eyes. A little Bourjois Cream Blush in 02, a lovely peachy shade which really compliments a tan and that’s it- super easy and ready in under ten minutes.

Extra tip- goes really well with gold jewellery. Earrings in above photo are form H&M and still available I believe.
