How can one come to Greece and not stockpile Korres makeup goodies? A line that is comprised solely of natural beautiful ingredients. I’ve had a few Korres items in the past- their pomegranate makeup wipes and mango lip butter, and was really impressed with the scent and quality of the products.
Whilst out in Mykonos town I some how managed to find myself in their beauty centre…surprise surprise, where I was greeted by a whole room dedicated to Korres- eyeshadows, makeup, body butter, lipsticks even supercool looking mosquito repellent. I was a little overwhelmed but ended up buying the After Sun moisturiser (for obvious reasons) which is dubbed as a ‘moisturising body milk with aloe vera’. I tried it last night and not only did it smell amazing, but it felt much more nourishing than our previous Clarins one, my skin felt really well nourished even this morning. Next I bought one of their new releases- the lipbutter gloss, a gloss version of their now famous lip butters, in the shade Peach. It leaves a lovely tint on the lips with a thick but not gloopy gloss which is perfect for wearing on the beach.
As I was perusing various lipsticks and blushers (not that I need another one!) I noticed that they do little packs titled ‘Khaki Lover’ or ‘Smokey’ and they comprised of a mini perfume sample, two eye products and a lip product to create different looks. I went for the Khaki Lover option which included a dark green shadow called ‘Cyprus Green’ which goes really well with olive skin tones, a dark olive coloured eye pencil, a lipgloss in a mauve toned pink and a little sample of their Paeonia Vanilla and Amber Pear fragrance which literally smells good enough to eat- maybe to good.
I will no doubt add to my little Greek beauty haul before I head home on Tuesday but will keep you updated!
Korres is stocked in London at Liberty and in selected Waitrose stores- but obviously the collection and pricing was better in Mykonos 🙂
