S5 Skincare Purity Serum- The Breakout Buster

I’m always on the lookout for new serums, you can never quite have enough. You should always have at least a few to tackle any and all specific skin issues. I, for example suffer from dehydrated skin with oily patches and some dark spots- pigmentation. I use the serum step in my routine (post cleanse and tone and pre moisture) to target these specific problems. In the mornings I use Hydraluron and in the evenings up until recently I’d use La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo as my serum.

However, I recently discovered S5 skincare, created by the brains behind the hugely successful Nude skincare line. Something about their approach to skincare struck me as similar to Skinceuticals, a brand who’s phyto correct serum I attribute the clear up of my quite frankly appallingly blemish prone skin at 18. I love the medicinal looking bottles with the pipettes and I love that there’s a serum for everyone. The purity serum in particular caught my eye, with a 99.6% natural formula and enriched with a blend of three Amazonian Bioactives as well as being Alergen free, the serum promises to reduce the appearance of blemishes by 43%. Very specific!

The last few days whilst the sun has been out I’ve been a little unkind to my skin and smothering it under layers of SPF, foundation and bronzers/blushes and powders and so have experienced a mild breakout of small bumps. I thought now was the perfect time to trial the S5 purity serum*, and although I’ve only used it a few times so far I really love it. It sinks into the skin, but not too quickly, and I’ve already noticed that my little whiteheads and under the skin bumps have gone down to virtually non existant. This serum is going to stay in my skincare wardrobe for a little bit, but once my skin is clearer I’ll be trialling their Illuminate serum which targets pigmentation and dark spots.

The price points are far more reasonable than the astronomical Skinceuticals and you can buy online from Beauty Bay for £44. There’s a serum for pretty much anyone- redness? sensitivity? anti-ageing? You name it, they’ve got it- your very own bottle of goodness to target your problem areas. What’s not to love?

This sounds really good! I may have to try the one for dark spots myself. Quite a reasonable price, too.
