Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick- Muse.

Yesterday I ventured out with my mum and sister for a spot of shipping and I ended up buying an Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in the show-stopping shade Muse. One part coral, one part pink with an undertone of neon, this is definitely a “look at me” lip colour. The liquid lipsticks have been on my wish list for a while for their amazing colour range and long-lasting wear time, and whilst I was initially drawn towards the more subdued tones of the shade Rose, something about Muse just screamed holiday and as I’m off to Mykonos on Tuesday I thought it would be perfect with my La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF50 and a slick of mascara on the beach. A bright pout is all you need in the sun paired with some killer sunglasses. These bad boys last and last, and the colour was still going strong even after a ginger and summer fruit ice tea and very delicious Thai meal at Busaba. Shortly after we were walking into Selfridges just as a lot of drama went down, people were being evacuated due to an armed robbery in the jewellery section, some people were screaming and some people were shouting about bombs, we ran all the way towards Hanover Square, thinking that we were running for our lives and got straight in the car. Once home, a testament to Hourglass- my lips were still in tact and looked just as perfect and bright as ever! Amazing.

At £23 a pop, they’re not cheap but I’ve been nothing but impressed with Hourglass products and the quality is flawless. My favourite part of these liquid lipsticks is that there’s no transfer to glasses or to teeth which make them incredibly wearable as you don’t have to be self conscious. Another shade that caught my eye was the bright orange Riviera…perhaps for my next holiday next month to the actual French Riviera?
