Sometimes it’s the small things that can make all the difference. A few weeks ago I had dinner with a good friend who was over from New York, his amazing wife had sent over some Sephora goodies for me as she is aware of just how Sephora obsessed I am. The products are from two of my favourite US brands – Tarte and Bite. My heart beat quickened when I saw the Tarte Showstopper Clay palette – this is everything I thought – even if the pigmentation/formula is crap it’s just beautiful to stare lovingly at. Luckily the quality is top notch – as good (if not better) than your Diors/Chanels/Clarins palettes, but 100 x more beautiful and fun to look at. It includes six shadow shades in warm earthy tones (ideal for day to day smokey Olsen twins chic) – a cool toned bronzer (not orange in the slightest) and pearlescent highlight with the dreamiest apricot matte blush in the centre. It’s everything you could need in a palette plus a decent sized mirror – win!
The Bite lipglosses are gooey, super shiny and pack an impressive punch in terms of pigment. Whilst I’m not too sure if I’ll be rocking the blue or yellow glossses anytime soon, the nudes and reds are going to make any pout look x 10 fuller when dabbed on to the centre of the mouth.
Never underestimate the power of pretty makeup – it can sometimes be all the mood boost you need 😉
