I’ve been a bit of a magpie for as long as I can remember, always honing in on anything sparkly or eye catching so it comes as no surprise that I’m an avid statement jewellery fan and collector. I remember my first significant piece of statement bling so clearly, it was March 2008 and I had some Christmas money that I’d been saving up to buy one of the first collections of YSL (as it was back then) arty rings, I went for a gold with turquoise stone that I wore with pride every single day. I was seventeen and obsessed, that was the beginning of the end of my addiction. Since then I’ve amassed quite a few beauties but recently I’ve been favouring more delicate rings and pairing them with statement necklaces, I thought I’d take today’s post to show you around some of my favourite. Zara always seems to knock it out the park when it comes to churning out statement necklaces that can go with pretty much anything, Accessorize and Topshop are also great places to source chunky statement pieces.
