I kind of dig everything about this look (who post 1977 says dig anymore? Me that’s who). Lily Aldridge, the Victoria’s Secret Angel/rockstar wife/supercool mum downtime look to stroll around New York with her 11 month old daughter Dixie Pearl (obsessed with that name) hits just the right note. Lily’s look is one part New York model off-duty and two-parts ‘Nashville mum or mom as she would say’ and I love it. The added detail of the side braid and her always perfectly balayaged hair might just make this my favourite ‘get the look for less’ look so far.
Whilst Lily is rocking a cute pair of Marant Dicker boots, these ASH ankle boots have just the right amount of ‘country girl in the city’ vibes for a fraction of the price.
Instead of the obvious choice of super skinny, Lily instead has opted for a slightly looser and more casual look with her jeans. These Mango ones are perfect for emulating that weekend laid back style. *style note- roll up the ankles a bit to show off some ankle ‘cleavage’*
To go with the jeans you need a kickass Nahville/New York belt and this Mango one is nearly identical to Lily’s.
This Mango sweater strikes the right balance of luxury and cosy and is ideal for sauntering around on these in-between Spring/Summer days sans jacket.
To finish of the look a studded satchel slung over the shoulder like this very reasonable New Look one and a messy side braid paired with minimal makeup and you’ve got the perfect Victoria’s Secret off-duty /yummy mummy/casual weekend look.
