June Favourites

 

Pinch punch first of the month! We are well and truly into the swing of Summer and this months favourites are mainly haircare and skincare focussed- as always I can’t believe how quickly time flies (I’m sure time goes by quicker as a blogger doing monthly favourites- am I right??) but here goes.

Bumble and Bumble Quenching Shampoo and Conditioner *

This shampoo and conditioner has genuinely transformed my colour raddled and dehydrated hair. My fair looks and feels sleeker and glossier not to mention nourished. Bumble and Bumble just get it right when it comes to haircare, I’ve also been loving their Surf shampoo and conditioner for a holiday beachy look, but this duo trumps it. Put it this way, a few weeks ago I was sure I desperately needed a trim, now I’m not so sure- six months since my last haircut and this shampoo and conditioner make my ends look totally sleek and not at all like rats tails, score!

S5 purity serum *

This serum is doing a very good job at keeping blemishes at bay- for the full review click here. Definitely a firm favourite and a key player in my evening skincare routine.

Bourjois Bronzing Primer

This smells delicious, mattifies shine and leaves a subtle undetectable bronze under makeup. Seeing as I don’t go in the sun without SPF 50+++ my face needs a little help in the bronzing department, and this budget buy from Bourjois does the trick.

Guerlain Shalimar eu de parfum 

I bought this at duty free in Mykonos airport and I love how classic it smells. A lovely grown up fragrance that doesn’t overwhelm with the subtlest hint of vanilla. I recently read India Knight’s column in ST Style where she describes how much she detests grown women who “smell of teenager” and I have to agree. No one wants to be wearing perfumes designed for teenagers post 21. Shalimar is my Summer 2013 scent!

Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus Moisturising Cream Mask*

A must have for the slightly dehydrated- too much sun/alcohol/general fun? You need this mask in your life. Rescues bumpy, angry and dry skin and restores luminosity overnight. I love using this on a Sunday night so I’m ready for the week come Monday morning with plumper and hydrated skin. It also smells luxurious mmm roses.

A small edit for this month but they’re all must haves that I can’t be without. I’m excited for what July will bring- I’m off on a three week road trip all around Italy and the South of France next week so expect lots more holiday posts!
