I’m Only Sleeping

Well, at the end of September I knew I would have a plethora of sleepovers. I had two sleepovers with my sister and girlfriends in the lead up to my wedding and I knew I wanted nice nightwear. We were staying in a luxurious setting so I wanted to look good – even if I was only sleeping. And with a honeymoon coming shortly after I knew that they’d come into good use. I picked up two nighties from Victoria’s Secret – both of which are incredibly gothically Autumnal, but are still super light so work perfectly on honeymoon.

The first is black floor length with a slit up the left side, it’s low cut with lace trip and a lace racer back. It may sound a little Morticia Adams, but it’s truly glamorous and makes me feel like a 1940s moviestar. Doing my evening cleansing routine whilst wearing this feels like the ultimate luxury.

The second is much much shorter – black, red and forest green with a cool strappy back. You can add a pair of shorts if you’re feeling it a little skimpy. Again, it’s super comfy to sleep in and really glamorous to lounge in the evenings and following morning sipping a latte.

Sleepwear is so under rated, don’t get me wrong – I love cosy pyjamas as much as the next person, but wearing glam nightwear is just so Gossip Girl, and I genuinely feel like it boosts my mood when I wake up…. The Victoria’s Secret nighties are also a third of the price of other luxe night wear from Agent Provocateur etc, and H&M do amazing pieces for even less!

Victoria’s Secret Chantilly Lace & Satin gown here FYI I’m usually a size 6 but wear this in a medium as it skims nicer and more comfortable for sleep.

Other nightie not found online but still in store – around £38.00
