Holiday Hair- Bumble & Bumble

holiday hair

I write this post whilst sipping on a latte overlooking the most spectacular view in Mykonos. Internet is patchy here and I’m trying my best to get posts out daily (relevant holiday posts- I don’t like to schedule too far in advance) but bear with me!

Today’s post is all about holiday hair, I’m loving the more relaxed pace of life and last night I washed my hair and went out for the evening with zero artificial heat touching it. Even though our hotel room not only has a hair dryer but hair straighteners and tongs (and I of course brought my trusty Babyliss ones with me) I didn’t feel the need for them. This is down to Bumble and Bumble surf shampoo and conditioner* which is best left “wash and go- or dry in the sun” as the back of the bottles read. So I did exactly that, went out for dinner and caught sight of myself in a little stall window by the port, and was beyond impressed- my hair was separated at the ends in only the way it looks after a day at the beach, but the top was all silky and clean- definitely not how it looks after a day at the beach. Best of both worlds! I then put my hair in a bun to sleep and I’ve awoken to perfect beachy waves. For a little more intensity the Bumble and Bumble surf spray* which I’ve been using for years (and which my boyfriend is also rather keen on…sshhh!) boosts the crunchy, voluminous beach ‘I really don’t care’ look, which is perfect to keep in the beach bag.

For when my hair is a little more in need of some moisture after the sun exposure I’ll be slapping on the BB quenching masque for the (terribly) thirsty* which sorts out any dryness instantly to leave completely nourished and silky tresses.

I’m off to the beach now! Tomorrow’s post which will fingers crossed by live tomorrow will be on holiday make up as…shock horror I’ve also not touched eye liner so far and not planning on doing so in the future. I’m quite enjoying this bohemian and relaxed approach to beauty (that is if bohemian and relaxed counts as over half the EasyJet baggage weight allowance going towards beauty products).

Until next time!
