Good Hair Days..

 hairblogtijan

I’m often asked for my top hair tips. I count myself incredibly lucky that my hair is in good condition considering the amount of trauma I put it through- we’re talking daily hair tonging, bleach damage, brushing knots out in a vigorous manner, only ever getting it trimmed once a year- the whole shebang. Yet, like a loving puppy, my hair remains loyal and sleek. Of course hair does not have a mind of it’s own, it’s pretty much dead once it’s sprouted out of the scalp (I hope I’m right on that one!) but the products you put on can make a real difference.

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Shampoo and Conditioner

If you follow this blog, you’ll know that I recently died my hair back a little closer to my natural shade and I aboslutely love it. In fact it’s the first time in an age that I’ve loved my hair colour, it feels so sophisticated, rich, glossy and natural. In order to maintain this loving feeling I have for the colour I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner every other day and sure enough as I start rough drying my hair the chocolate-y tones seem deeper and nourished. The smell is also incredible as they’re infused with sweet almond extract and the best part- they’re super affordable.

Phyto 7  Hydrating hair cream and Spray Volume Intense

I’ve banged on about how much I adore the Phyto 7 hair cream and now I’ve found another Phyto product which packs a powerful punch. The Spray Volume Intense comes in a little silver canister and in just one spray can take flat lifeless hair to Cheryl Cole X Factor heyday levels of volume! It can be used on dry hair either just washed or a little dirty. The other day I used it to give my roots a bit of oomph with a side braid.

V05 Plump Me Up dry shampoo

For in-between-wash days I haven’t found a better dry shampoo than this wonder. It doesn’t make your hair white and it gives amazing volume, instantly soaking up oiliness and replacing lank greasy hair with a lovely refreshing clean feeling and voluminous locks. A must have!

The Tresemme Heat Defence Spray

I attribute the fact that my hair is not frazzled and super-dry to this product. A heat defence spray is a must if you put your hair through as much heat trauma as I do, and this one smells amazing, has a great pump which evenly distributes the perfect amount of product and lasts forever. It is also really cheap! A few spritzes of this and your hair will thank you later.

These are the products which I’m loving at the moment, but others that I’m long time fans of include the Kerastase Elixir oil and the V05 dry texturizing spray, because at the end of the day what’s the point in amazing skin and makeup without beautiful hair?

Have a good Friday people- Bank holiday weekend yay!

Love,

Tijan
