Getting Dressed in 5…

Some days I relish getting ready for the day, I start thinking about my outfit as soon as I wake up (or sometimes even the night before) and peruse my wardrobe whilst sipping my morning almond milk latte. However, others I wake up feeling like I’ve hardly slept (despite actually being zonked out for a good 8 hours plus), foggy headed, tired and just all round quite meh. These are the days where I want to grab staples that I know work for me. This look is ideal for meetings or a weekend brunch, it works really well from day to night as well if you throw in a pair of flats in to your tote and add a little jacket and scarf depending on the weather.

I bought these waxed leather look pants from Zara a month ago and was pleasantly surprised with how luxe the fit was. They instantly make me feel a tad more svelte (even if I’ve over indulged in a Rosa’s Thai Takeaway the night before – guilty). This grey marl sleeveless tank top was a panic buy before I jetted off to LA – I felt like I needed a basic staple to pair with denim cut offs. I didn’t end up wearing it in LA but back in London I can’t seem to peel it off and put it in the much needed wash. I’ve been wearing these beige Public Desire heeled sandals a lot recently for meetings and events – the chunky heel height adds the perfect amount of polish to an otherwise basic and casual get up. The beige shade also injects some much needed Spring vibes to my outfits (even if the weather isn’t playing ball). I picked up these Urban Outiftters shades last week whilst buying a jumper in Shoreditch and I’m so in love, they are very Celine-esque and the shape is incredibly flattering. I of course finished the look off with my Celine – can you believe it’s turning 4 next month!? When my then boyfriend (now husband) bought it for me back in 2012 it was a complete surprise and one of the most exciting moments! Needless to say she is well worn and very loved and still the only bag that holds all of my essentials (and then some) without going out of shape too badly.

To add warmth to the look I’d recommend either a biker jacket or a calf length lean beige trench to add a professional twist.

Happy Monday!

Lovely outfit, it looks very cool yet simple. Those Public Desire heels have been on my wishlist for so long, I really want to get them for spring/summer.
