Feeling Happier in my Skin

Confidence is a weird old thing, it comes and goes depending on a multitude of factors – how settled you are in your personal life, your success career wise, of course your genetics and how naturally confident you may or may not be but then there are the other things that affect our confidence. My skin has always affected my confidence, I’d say between 2010 and 2013 my skin didn’t bother me that much, but from 2013 onwards it’s been a constant struggle. As most of you know, I opted not to take roaccutane last Spring, something in my gut just told me it wasn’t the right decision, and since then my skin has been through ups and downs.

I’m only six days into my diet inspired by Dr Nigma Talib and I’m so excited to run to my mirror each morning and marvel at my skin. Day by day it’s getting clearer and has a lit from within look. The texture is getting smoother too – it’s not too oily but not dehydrated either and dry patches have vanished. I always knew that wheat and gluten and sugar were messing with my skin as much as dairy used to (I actually cut out dairy years ago) but I wasn’t expecting such dramatic results so quickly.

I’m so happy on this diet, I can’t even begin to explain how much healthier, lighter and brighter I feel and I’ve had no pangs of cravings or dips in energy.

There are also a few products (makeup wise) helping me make the most out of my newly nearly clear skin, one is a foundation that I’m going to wait to talk to you about in a full post and the other two are the Anastasia Cream Contour Kit and the Jaclyn Hill for Becca Champagne Pop highlighter. I never realised that one could rock a full on contour and highlight on a daily basis without looking slightly scary, but the products just sculpt my face and make me feel amazing. The high quality of both mean that they don’t sit on the skin or look like obvious makeup – instead they just work like perfect lighting always following you around.

Full reviews coming soon!

I hope you have an amazing week and if any of you are interested in starting the diet please leave me comments below with any questions and I’ll address them in an upcoming video.

I would love to know more about that diet please, looking forward to that video explaining it! Daily plan meals would be really convenient, apart from the obviously mentioning which foods to avoid. Thanks Tijan, looking beautiful by the way x
