Phew! Anyone else exhausted? There isn’t any other time of year when I’d run around London from 10am to 8pm in bare legs and tottering heels in the wind and rain but for LFW it’s de rigeur. I overslept this morning (a sign that I’m clearly sleep deprived as I’m usually up at 7:30am on the dot raring to go- seriously!) and jumped out of bed at 8:50am and faced the age old dilemma- a room full of clothes and I had nothing to wear. I did the only thing I could think of and threw myself in the shower, slapped on a bit of makeup and popped on a pair of leggings and a jumper and raced across the road to my local Zara. Purchases in hand I came back home (with a large coffee) and put my outfit together. I felt like something a little Victoria Beckham and little Olivia Palermo, neutral tones and clean lines. I chose a biscuit coloured rib long sleeve top with leather shoulder detailing, a very Alaia-esque flippy skirt and a little black military blazer and I paired it all with a pair of pre existing Zara heels and a patent structured early noughties Gucci handbag (on loan from the mother!).

Out the door I raced straight to the Mayfair Hotel for Fashion Monitor’s uber cool idea- the Style Lounge. A suite on the 4th floor where press and buyers can take a moment out of the craziness of LFW to pamper themselves, blow dries by Headmasters, makeup by Oriflame (amazing new Swedish brand which you’ll be hearing a lot more about soon here!) and manicures by Elegant Touch. I opted for a super glam blow dry which lasted the whole windy rainy day and a quick makeover, I was also sat next to the fabulous Ruth Crilly who I had a lovely chat with- lucky girl was off to Burberry! They also had a room which La Redoute made their own, I wasn’t too familiar with the website, but French label BASH (one of my favourites) have designed a diffusion line for them- definitely logging on ASAP!

I then headed off to Somerset House where Emma and I had a proper nose around the designer showrooms. I, in particular went a little cuckoo over Sophia Webster, Liam Fahy and Pamela Love’s to die for jewellery! All in all it was a hectic but brilliant day and I loved Natasha Zinko’s SS14 collection which was achingly glamorous- Russians really do know how to make looking glamorous and polished easy!
