So today’s actual blog post has been pushed back, because I just had to tell you guys about my latest obsession, it’s a workout game changer for me.
I first heard about Mary Helen Bower’s Ballet Beautiful after hearing Victoria’s Secret Angel hottie Lily Aldridge mention her quite a few times as the reason as to how she gets in shape for the shows, and the reason for why she got back into shape so quickly after her daughter Dixie (seriously, 5 months post baby she was tauter and more toned than I’ve ever been). Ballet beautiful is all about an elegant athletic physique, it’s designed to “sculpt ballet muscles” – so nothing too hardcore here.
It was yesterday morning, when I felt like going to the gym, but didn’t want to just waste a couple of hours on the treadmill and attempting some weights and sit ups, I wanted to be instructed. I didn’t feel like travelling for a class, so that’s when I had the idea to finally download Ballet Beautiful Full Body Workout. I cleared a little space in my living room, put on my workout gear (top H&M sportswear, leggings Sweaty Betty FYI), lay down a yoga mat and got to work. Let’s just say that for a workout, it all seems really lovely and calm and you think it’s going to be a breeze. At first. It ain’t easy, and there are ways of ramping it up a gear to make it tougher for experienced ballet beautiful-ers. She takes you through stages, working your abs, inner and outer thighs, butts and arms (a seriously amazing weight free arm workout!). She’s calm and peaceful, and post workout you feel weirdly both worked and rested and ready to do pretty much anything.
That’s why I’m vowed to do the full 50 minute workout five mornings a week, post green tea and pre coffee, to get me ready for the day, and hopefully tone me up in time for my Summer holiday which is in less than 4 months – I’ll keep you guys posted!
You can do the 50 minute total body workout, and now you can even do live classes online. For more info click here.
This post is in no ways sponsored, I came across Ballet Beautiful of my own accord and just fell in love!
Thanks Tijan!
I’m actually downloading this right now. Need to tone up before the summer!
I recently discovered it and I am amazed. Do you still workout it? I’m just wondering, does it transform your body? I tried and it hurts.. and I am not a beginner.
It hurts a lot! I do still use it every so often – I find the results are truly worth the pain!
Please please post photo results!! I am begining to do these workouts and would love some inspiration!
