Back to Paris…

Over the weekend I headed back to Paris, this time with my fiancé. After out train was delayed (my first Eurostar to ever be delayed!) we rushed to dinner at Hotel Costes. I actually had to get changed into my Isabel Marant Etoille dress (not pictured here but in this video) to make our reservation. The makeup I applied that morning needed zero touch ups! Say what!? The Maybelline eyeliner I mentioned in Friday’s post is pure magic, I was a little shiny, but after reading Emily’s take on “naturally glowing” skin, I decided to just screw it and not powder or touch up. It actually felt really good to not pile on any more makeup. After a delicious meal we headed for a midnight tour around the city of love, which I usually only visit for the day so it was lovely to go on a stroll in the dark, I changed back from my heels into my flat sandals!

The next morning was pretty mild but not especially warm, I wore this little dress from the French brand American Retro which my mum actually bought me from Paris a couple of years ago, I love the cut out sleeves and the print. I paired it with my ancient Matthew Williamson for H&M (well 5 years old!) leather jacket, ASOS ankle boots and my trusty baby Balenciaga for a day of wondering and eating. We headed to my favourite place ever for lunch – Ralph’s where I gorged on a turkey burger, deep fried olives, french fries and then a ‘selection’ for desert including a mini cheesecake and a warm chocolate brownie. We then headed on to the next part of our adventure in Germany! We are home now and I’m ready for another week, after gorging on way too much food I’m starting my Summer detox today and cutting out all french fries and 50% of my daily sugar intake (common as if I could give up sugar!). I’ll keep you posted on how that works out for me, and I’ll be posting some food/lifestyle posts later this week so stay tuned!

Ohh so jealous that you get to just hope on a train and go to Paris! That must be amazing.

Your outfit is lovely and I especially like the jacket.

    xx
