My obsession with lip liners and impending Winter seem to have both arrived at around the same time. Drying liners all over my lips plus central heating plus harsh cold winds equals a rather parched pout. It’s in my time of need that two balms have restored my lips to juicy, baby-bottom levels of softness and they deserve their own post.
The first is of course Nuxe Reve De Miel, which I’ve been using and loving for coming up to a year now. At first I didn’t “get” this balm, the consistency was so thick and it dried so mat, but after nightly use I realised that this was what made it so uniquely genius. Lips feel nourished and totally repaired overnight and I love the sweet honey scent.
A new arrival into my lip balm stash, and one that has risen straight to the top has to be the Clarins Hydra Quench Lip Balm which glides over lips like satin and leaves them with the most stunningly juicy glossy texture – but not sticky whatsoever. Lips feel quite literally “quenched” and any cracks or soreness immediately dissipate. Keeping the Nuxe by my bedside table and the Clarins in my makeup bag has meant that my lips are soft and nourished 24/7 this Winter and I can carry right on with my lip liner obsession!
