If, like me, you’re constantly stalking the Cult Beauty what’s new page, you’ll already be acquainted with hot new brand Studio 10 which is targeted at the 35 + demographic. Beautiful products though, should not have an age limit on them and so I was really excited to try their Age Defy Skin Perfector which is essentially your primer, corrector and concealer all in one pretty palette, and their Youth Lift Glow-Plexion – a dew enhancing, illuminating primer.
The Age Defy Skin Perfector is perfect for busy on-the-go women, and travellers alike. With pretty much everything you need for a kick ass flawless base. A primer to keep everything glued on, two concealer shades that you can mix together to create your own custom blend and a two correctors – the green to banish redness (perfect for around old spot scars and around the sides of the nose) and a peach shade to counteract under eye dark circles. The formulation is medium to high coverage and creamy, it’s also incredibly long lasting. I love feeling like a pro makeup artist mixing up the different colours and correctors – sciency in the cool way, not at all faffy. One thing I noticed about both products, is that they’re incredible luxuriously creamy, designed to give a real glow and nourishing feel – perfect for those worried about dry formulas sinking into fine lines.
The Youth lift glow plexion is something I know that my mum would adore. A creamy formulation that adjusts to your skin tone with lots and lots of light diffusing sparkles. It gives a real ‘lit from within’ lift. For me personally, it’s perhaps a little too glow enhancing, but for those who love a really beautiful illuminating finish it’s ideal. It’s the perfect amount dewy to matte ratio as well, so it wont leave you looking and feeling overly shiny.
All in all, I’d say from what I’ve tried it’s a brilliant range. My one issue? That it’s targeted and marketed at an older demographic, as I’d say the products are fab for us girls in our early 20s too!
