Wedding Day Skin Secret

Optimized-NARSCustard Optimized-celestialcandlelight

A last minute dash to Space NK this time last week with one of my closest friends and wedding makeup artists Jackie, resulted in two of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The first was the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in the shade Custard. I already owned the much too muddy and orange shade Biscuit and loved the consistency (even if I did loathe the shade) and when we swatched Custard under my eyes we both felt it gave an amazing Kim K highlighted look. The formula was radiant, creamy yet the coverage was substantial and the shade was spot on for the yellow undertones of my olive skin tone.

The sales assistant overhearing our Kim K chat came over and said that Kim uses the Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Powder in the shade Candlelight. We both looked a little suspicious but decided to give it a go “a highlighter, under the eye?” we both thought, but we swatched it and were blown away. Like seriously blown away. The powder is so finely milled that it’s almost translucent and there isn’t a hint of shimmer, just an other worldly glow.

The effect of the two together can be amped up for a Kim K evening look or used sparingly for an every day glow. If you’re near a Space NK soon, check them both out together – you wont be disappointed.

Ooh, what a lovely suggestion. I adore the Kim K highlighted look. I’m sure you looked beautiful on your wedding day. Congrats!

I only saw pictures from afar, but you certainly glowed on your wedding day :). Both of these products are firm favourites of mine, but I have never thought to use the Celestial Powder under my eyes!
