The Morning After

So I promised you a post full of photographs of my beauty and outfit looks of my hen party last night didn’t I? And I totally forgot my camera – cue monkey with hands covering eyes emoji. However if you do want a glimpse head over to my instagram.

Today I thought I’d do my first morning after the night before post instead. It’s all well and good when you can have a make up free day, lounging in front of the sofa in pyjamas watching the Kardashians all day, but when it’s London Fashion Week and also 3 weeks until the big day itself, there are things to do!

Hair – I usually wash and style my hair before a big night out and then twizzle it into a bun and sleep in it so that it retains volume and a nice wave. This ensures that I don’t have to do anything to it the next day.

Skin – I love using a ‘zingy’ face mask to make my skin look peachy fresh and alive. Anything exfoliating is ideal. Seeing as I usually use these in the evenings, I only keep them on for half the recommended amount of time to ensure that things don’t get too red or overly exfoliated! I love REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal which looks and feels like marmalade, but does all the wonders of an hours professional facial.

Makeup – I try and keep things as natural as possible and go for a light foundation like Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua with the Clarins Instant Light Perfecter underneath. I pair that with a subtly smokey eye (as let’s face it, I usually have a few remnants left over from the night before) with just a hint of brown liner, and a good bold brow, today I’ve used Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette to give a pop of colour. I keep lips light with just a swipe of a nude colour and ensure that my cheeks have some life brought back into them with Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Love Glow.

Voila – a super easy way to look and feel more human in under half an hour!
