The hair wants what the hair wants..

Lately I’ve felt a little spoilt for choice with what to wash my hair with- my shower is increasingly filled with beautiful shampoos and conditioners (much to my boyfriend’s dismay at not being able to get in or out of the shower without tripping up over a hair mask…). But there have been two in particular which don’t necessarily make my hair the silkiest or sleekest (that prize goes to Wella and Tresemme) but make my hair soft, clean and with just the right amount of body. Step forward Bumble & Bumble*  and Touche by Flavien*

Having used quite a few Bumble shampoos and conditioners in the past I was already a fan of their cleansing, gorgeous smelling and rather effective products, but this duo really hit the proverbial ‘spot’. Creme de Coco shampoo is designed as a mild cleansing product that also ramps up the moisture levels. Think of it as removing the excess build up of product but also deeply nourishing the hair. It isn’t packed full of silicones that will make your hair feel immediately silky, but after drying you’ll see that your hair is full of body and any dry ends have been obliterated. The conditioner and masque both just ramp up moisture levels even further without weighing down the hair shaft- did I also mention that it smells of tropical paradise? Well it does and that is down to the kukui nut oil. A tropical treat for your hair to balance the cleansing with hydrating- dreamy.

Next up is Touche by Flavien, about three weeks ago now myself and a few other fellow beauty bloggers were invited for tea in Fenwicks were we were plied with champagne and scones and where Flavien the brains behind Touche talked us through  his mantra for healthy hair. The range is all about cleansing the scalp, and his range of incredibly gentle yet cleansing shampoos and conditioners and sulphate free which means that you could wash your hair daily without worrying about drying it out or ruining your colour. The prickly pear shampoo and conditioner again don’t leave my hair with that overly silky feeling, but once again upon blow drying my hair is left feeling revived, clean and full of body. These products have been keeping my hair in tip top condition lately, on Friday’s post I’ll talk you through the products I use post shower to style my locks! Watch this space.
