The Budget Blusher & Eyeshadow

Optimized-sleeksaharaon

Terracotta is my favourite hue. I love wearing it and think that it suits my olive skin tone perfectly – it makes the olive tone a little more golden. Around a year ago (maybe even longer) I bought Sleek Sahara – the most stunning burnished orange/terracotta blusher upon Laura’s recommendation and I don’t believe I’ve ever given it its own post. That’s partly because after I wore it for a month solidly I then forgot about it – into the woods of my makeup storage it went, only to be found again after a serious purge due to moving house. And wow am I glad I rekindled this relationship. Just as Laura suggests it is best worn heavily on the lid as a burnished orange eyeshadow which looks unbelievable with a smudge of eyeliner and lashings of mascara for daily use (it makes brown eyes look almost greeny/hazel) and I stipple it on the cheeks very very lightly so as to impart a hint of the tone without looking sunburnt.

Using the same shade on eyes and cheeks is actually a genius trick as it ensures your makeup doesn’t look too done, it makes it all blend in a bit better and look more natural. It’s best suited to those when they have a bit of a glow going on so I recommend you purchase this prior to your Summer holiday and I firmly believe that this is the only blusher/eyeshadow you’ll need for your trip!
