The Big Beauty Weekend

This weekend will be all about finalising the last few bits and bobs of university essays, taking a deep breath, doing copious amounts of sit-ups (three and a half weeks until Mykonos eek) and prettifying myself.

Yes, the end of my university life is nigh and now is the time to get myself fully Summer prepped, I’m starting an exciting internship at BeautyMART headquarters on Tuesday for a few weeks so I want to get back to being myself and not some library sallow-skinned corpse by then!

SKIN:  Try as I might my skin has still gone through a less than great phase, as it always does in the last few days of essay season. I need to seriously detox this weekend and get it back to tip top condition. I’m going to be giving it a lovely steam and cleanse with my beloved Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, a spray of some Serozinc, a good ol’ clay mask in the form of Fresh Umbrian Clay, some Peptabright to balance out my pigmentation and generally clarify and brighten my skin tone and Hydraluron for hydration purposes (too much coffee, tut tut) and a good squeeze of La Roche Posay’s skin-saving Effaclar Duo in order to totally zap any blemishes. I’ll be moisturising with this light weight beauty from Chantecaille Flower Harmozing Cream that is supposed to calm any skin inflammation and regulate combinaton ski that I’ve just been given a sample of and I cannot wait..

NAILS: On my nails I’ll be sporting something bright and minty- Maybelline Forever Strong Gel nail polish in the shade Mint for Life will do me just perfectly.

HAIR: In terms of hair care, I’ve just got my hands on some samples of Oribe Colour save shampoo and conditioner which I’m looking forward to lathering up in my newly coloured mane. Hoping for a lovely intense and glossy finish.

MAKE-UP:Makeup-wise I want to freshen up my complexion with my brand-spanking-new Bourjois Healthy Glow Cream Blush in shade 02 a stunning peachy pink that I am so happy to have my mitts on. Eyes will be a casual smokey affair with this stunning Daniel Sandler eyeliner in ‘Grey Velvet’ which creates the most sultry look for day-night and works a treat with my newly chocolate locks. I’m finding a slightly orange-y lip works better than a plane pink with my new hair, and so I’ll be mixing this Daniel Sandler Luxury-Matte lipstick in the shade Marilyn with some Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment balm to soften the colour intensity. Lashings of mascara and my face will be feeling fresh yet glamorous enough for a weekend of celebrations.

I can’t wait for my pampering weekend!

Do any of you have any weekend pampering rituals? I’d love to hear!

Lots of Love
