Sunday Stuff #3 Looking Good – quick!

So there are the Sundays where you don’t leave the house – the ones where you can just lay around and read magazines, then there are the Sundays when you wake up fresh as a daisy and spend a good half an hour doing a dewy complexion nourishing base, then there are the Sundays when you wake up looking and feeling not so hot, but it’s a gorgeous day and friends and plans beckon. Those are the kind of Sundays I’m talking about today.

You need to look good, and you need to look good quickly. I like to pop on some eye patches post cleansing and toning just to get rid of any puffiness, the DHC ones are magic, I keep them on whilst I’m in the shower, so that I can multitask! Hair washing goes right out the window – who wants to deal with a hairdryer and all that palava? Instead go in with a volumising hair product like Bumble and Bumble Pret a Powder which ensures big voluminous hair at the same time as vamoosing any unwanted oil, dirt and grease. Clean, tousseled hair – check!

Next on to skin, the skincare is where you should take the most time (remember to get rid of any of last nights eyeliner still lurking with a splash of Bioderma) and then get to work on a base that works for you. The By Terry Terrybly Densillis is like having Lisa Eldridge do your makeup for you in your own bathroom, seriously. It gives you even, glowing, matte and flawless skin in seconds. The best part? You can use your fingers to apply and you still get the most unbelievable results! By far my current favourite foundation. Go in with a little illuminating concealer under the eyes, my favourite is from Collection 2000 and then finish off with a little cream blusher like this gorgeous one from Maybelline, and some cream eyeshadow like Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in On and On the Bronze and you’re good to go! You can add a little mascara, brow gel and a touch of tinted lip balm to complete the look, but all in all it’s about looking totally effortless without having to make too much of an effort.

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday whatever you’re up to!
