Spring on my nails

The pink coat may have been synonomous with Autumn 2013, but the hottest colour of last season is set to sail right on through to SS14 and who knows – maybe even AW13 too? As a true Autumn and Winter lover (falling leaves, cosy fires, Halloween, bonfire night, CHRISTMAS – I’ve even ensured my wedding is in October, my favourite month of the year) I’ve decided to embrace the change of seasons and actually look forward to Spring. The days are getting longer and my nails which have been either black, burgundy, navy or gold for the last four months are now craving something a little lighter and fluffier. Cue Nails inc Gel Effect Mayfair Pink, I’ve posted this polish on instagram twice and it received a fair bit of excitement. Think of it as the perfect candy floss baby pink, perfect for transitioning from Winter to Spring.

The brush is incredibly foolproof, ensuring a gorgeous manicure – and I hate what I’m about to say next but…- salon worthy (cringe yughghgh). The colour glides on and stays glossy for days as well as chip resistant. I think it’s fair to say that Mayfair Lane will be my most worn nail shade for the next four or five months (in Summer I’m all about hot spicy orange tones). I think of it as the Spring equivalent to Essie’s Solemate (my go to Autumn/Winter shade).

Available from February.
