Schoolgirl Chic

There’s something about a buttoned down a-line skirt that just reminds me of being at school. I’m currently deep in the throes of a denim skirt love affair. Each weekend I seem to be sporting a different one (knee length, super mini, dark wash, pale etc etc). This weekend I took my newest addition out for a spin to a two year olds birthday party followed by my brother Tchengiz’s gig on Portobello. This Topshop skirt is a great dupe for the AG Alexa Chung one that I couldn’t get my hands on, it’s also a snip of the price. I paired it with one of my favourite tops of this season – this gypsy style Topshop one (I have the black version on its way to me as we speak) and my favourite Chloe dupe that feels “safe” as I know I can take it to a park and a gig and not worry about scratches or scuffs as it’s pleather so pretty resilient and wipe clean, it’s also deceptively roomy. For comfort I opted to wear my crochet Toms and my Dior So Real shades to complete the look. I had my trusty biker jacket waiting in the wings for me when things took a chilly turn later on in the evening!
