New Liner Love

 

Ok so I’ve been pretty faithful to Charlotte Tilbury Rock’n’Kohl Liquid Eye Pencils for a good few months now, and I’ve all but shunned my usual black liquid liner. However, the other day something caught my eye – the new Maybelline 24hr Gel Liners in particular the shade intense black really seemed like a beautiful creamy and dramatic colour. It comes, as all gel liners do in a little pot and came with a handy eyeliner brush which I instantly thought would be rubbish, but was actually rather nifty. It applies like silk to create the most beautiful line which can be built upon to create something a little more dramatic – I love that it’s a product that doesn’t come off too strong and have you reaching for the Bioderma and a q tip. It’s incredibly easy to manage and something I’d highly recommend to those who aren’t so keen on the idea of a liquid liner. As for the lasting power, I’m not sure about the 24hr claims, but it did stay as intensely black all throughout the day, other black liners can fade a little and look a little sad and washed out after the 4/5 hour mark. This certainly remained just as intense as it was when I first put it on. It’s even found itself a spot in my New York makeup travel bag (more of that tomorrow though 😉 ).
