So..some exciting news! After months of waiting I’ve finally got my dream dressing table. It’s stunning and fits in perfectly with the rest of the interior decoration, it also has deep drawers which means plenty of room for my extensive makeup collection. I like to keep my brushes and various other tools like tweezers etc in old Diptyque candle jars (top tip- wait until the very end of your candle and then pour hot water on the remnants of wax and then scoop it out with a big spoon- rinse and voila) on the top along with a few of my favourite perfumes like Guerlian Shalimar and Chanel No 5. I also have a little Muji set of drawers for my nail polishes on the right hand side for easy access. I’ve separated my makeup into three categories- far left bases and other face products like blush and bronzer, middle – eyes and right lips. All my extra makeup remains in muji storage underneath, so easy to access. I love having a proper place to sit and really relish in applying my makeup feeling like a filmstar…ish! I had a dressing table growing up but I let it get overrun with jewellery and other trinkets, so this one I’ve vowed to keep relatively clutter free so I can focus on the makeup.
