Moscow Style Diary

The first question the majority of people would ask upon hearing about my recent trip to Moscow would be “what’s the weather like?” as they expected me to regale them with how it would be freezing and how I would be packing big boots and coats. However, quite the opposite is true – Moscow is actually extremely hot in the Summer months and my trip did not disappoint. I ensured to pack plenty of printed little dresses, comfortable shoes for trawling the Kremlin and shopping centres and light and easy bags. Above was just after randomly discovering New York’s finest – Magnolia Bakery a mere two minute walk from our hotel. We pretty much bought the whole place (slices of pecan pie, cookies, brownies etc) and I grabbed an iced green tea as it was a particularly sweltering afternoon. I wore an Isabel Marant Etoile dress, Jessica Buurman Chloe Sussana dupe boots and my Forever 21 handbag.

A morning at the Kremlin called for something light and airy for the super hot day but modest enough to respect the history. I opted for this peachy number that I picked up from a sample sale at the Duke Street Emporium, my black crochet Toms (my favourite shoes for tourist activities) Forever 21 bag and Dior shades.

Dinner at the Russian institution Pushkin’s called for a smart Summery vibe. I wore this little River Island breton striped dress with patent and bold accessories.

A day spent exploring the cathedrals and parks called for this Forever 21 smock dress, Toms and my Nasty Gal biker jacket, topped off with my graphic Celine wayfarers!
