On Thursday evening I popped along to The Lucky Pig in Paddington with Emma for a sneak preview of Miss Selfridge’s Christmas launch- their incredibly intricate and breathtaking 1920s beaded flapper dresses. The event was titled Miss Speakeasy and walking into the event did not disappoint- it felt like something straight out of Bugsy Malone. Fashion editors, bloggers and vloggers mingled amongst some of the most incredible creations I’ve ever seen. The accessories were also stunning- beaded clutches, embellished shoes, come party season there’s only going to be one port of call on the High St for a highly glamorous, festive and totally unique look- and that’s Miss Selfridge. On the decks for the event, churning out incredibly awesome tunes (Rock the Kasbah anyone?) was the gorgeous Laura Whitmore, I grabbed her for a few minutes and grilled her on her beauty must haves which include Smashbox Photo Finish primer, to give her hair that messy undone wavy look the model and tv presenter relies on no other than Moroccan Oil and her favourite beauty secret? Pond’s Cold Cream– and with skin like that I’m tempted to give it a go myself!
