How does this always happen? How do I always find new things to buy in Boots?
Left to Right- Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige, Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick, Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint in Satsuma, Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Silky Beige
Yesterday in a tiny Boots I was stocking up on some eye make up remover when I was drawn, as per usual to the makeup stands. If you saw my post yesterday you’ll know just how much I’m loving the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks, my boyfriend bought them for me on Saturday on a Boots run (I gave him a list ) and picked me up the bronze and black which I’d asked for, however yesterday in Boots Bulletproof Beige caught my eye, and as I love the consistency of the other two so much I quickly picked it up. That’s when I noticed that it was 3 for 2…well how could I turn down such a generous offer? It would be rude not to, and above all in the grand scheme of things I’m saving money. Bargain.
So…two more Rimmel products to peruse and choose. The first one was easy- the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder– a snip at just £3.99…or free! I chose the shade ‘Silky Beige’ which is a perfect match for my skin tone and works incredibly well on my t-zone to leave a nice even finish that doesn’t look in the slightest ‘cake face esq’. So two down, one more to go…I’d heard great things about the Kate Moss range of lipsticks from YouTubers and beauty bloggers alike, and after fastidiously rubbing the top layer off a few contender shades, I finally felt that they were hygienic enough to try on properly. It was love at near first sight with the Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick in 08. A sort of nude with a mauve/brown undertone. Natural, hydrating, long lasting and a colour that reminds me of this Burberry lipstick in the shade Heather Rose..and for just £5.49 I didn’t have to even think twice. So with my 3 for 2 in my basket I was ready to head to the check out when…the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine nail polishes began winking at me. Oh no..I have too many (Greenberry, Blueberry, Lychee and Papaya) but the formula is sooo amazing, and long lasting and shiny, just one more, I decided on Satsuma, a sort of reddish/orange which isn’t dissimilar to Chanel’s Holiday, and again for just £3.99, there was no need to hum and hah.
So there you have it, a rushed Monday afternoon trip to Boots to stock up on necessities that turned into a mini haul. I’ll be posting an update with photographs of all these products on so you can see just how impressive their quality is for yourselves!
