May has flown by for me, I spent the first half in the library and the second half in the office and in between have enjoyed lovely meals, seeing friends and dedicating time to this- my blog! I’ve loved watching it grow from having a small amount of daily visitors to now quite a substantial amount and the numbers are rising with every week, I’m really grateful for that. So if you are a returning visitor thank you and if you’re new then welcome!
Right onto the good stuff. I thought I’d make this months favourites a little different and include some accessories too…
Clarins Gentle Exfoliating Toner
I actually got this back in January and have only just realized that I haven’t talked about it since. Well this is an absolute dream to use. The scent is beautiful (white nettle and tamarind) and my skin feels so supple, clean and moisturized after use. I then follow on with La Roche Posay’s Serozinc and the two of them together are like dynamite (in a good way) for my skin. Any white heads or persistant little bumps are smoothed away instantly. I tend to use this 4 times a week in the evening.
Zatchel
I’ve had my zatchel since Christmas time and I absolutely adore it. It’s easy to fling over across the body and the snakeskin print goes with pretty much everything! I’ve especially been loving wearing it to the library or on the tube and it adds a different dimension to the usual tote look. They’re available from Liberty
Phyto Spray Volume Intense*
I spoke about this last week, but it definitely had to feature in my favourites. I’ve never experienced anything like it, the volume levels are stratospheric and last all day or night.
Algenist Pore Refining Gel Cream*
I’ve been using this every morning for the past two weeks and my skin around my t-zone looks so much better for it. Little bumps are a thing of the past and pores look tighter. It also helps to wake my skin up in the mornings before primer and foundation- like a facial in a pot. A must have for fellow oily/combination skin boys and girls.
Bourjois Cream Blush 02 Healthy Glow
I’ve banged on enough about this blusher and just how much I love it but I think I’m going to go on about it just a leetle more if you don’t mind. This cream blush goes from creamy to powder and then sits on the skin undetectable, it sort of leaves a peachy hue on your apples giving you a healthy inner glow. I love pairing it with a strong liquid line and 60s style lashes or just on it’s own to add a little boost to my daily complexion. A must have.
Chanel ballet pumps
A Spring favourite, I’ve had these for around a year and a half and they’re still in excellent condition. I can’t seem to get enough of them at the moment. They make any outfit look polished and chic and are easy to slip into- fuss free.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion- Original
This was an impulse buy at Sephora in Paris. It can be worn alone just to even out the lids or under any eyeshadow. It really helps the shadow stick to the lid without creasing or fading and has been a dream on nights out or long days in the library/ at work.
Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick- 08
My go-to daily lipstick, I got this a few months ago but only started wearing it daily last week. The colour sits between a classic nude and a little mauve, it makes teeth appear whiter and lips look fuller. The formula is creamy but dries matte without drying out the lips and the product smells good enough to eat- trust me (but please don’t eat it for obvious reasons).
I’m hoping to get my first ever video to accompany this post out either later today or tomorrow so please stay tuned!
Happy Saturday!
