Long Glossy Hair Mantra

newhairmantra

So two months ago I chopped off an inch more of my hair than I wished I’d had. It was not a scissor happy hairdresser, it was 100% my own idea as the ends were feeling extra crispy and not very pretty. My hair is still long, but I want it back to what it was (touching ribcage, bellow boob) in time for the wedding, but I want it back healthy as well.

I’ve been abusing my hair for a while now – colouring it incessantly and using heated styling appliances nearly every day for the last 5 years and needless to say, it hasn’t left it in the best of shape. After watching Transcendence over the weekend the sight of Kate Mara’s peroxide do made me run straight for my Philip Kingsley Elasticizer as soon as I got home, her hair was painfully damaged!

This is my new hair mantra to kickstart it growing healthily, thicker and faster. I now plan on using the Elasticizer as an overnight treatment at least once a week and nights when I’m not using that I’ll be popping a bit of Nuxe Dry Oil on to the very ends to give it an extra nourishing treatment. The Nuxe oil is such a fantastic multi purpose oil, and can even be used as a facial oil (not tried that one yet) or on your limbs for a glistening look for Summer evenings.

After I’ve washed it out the following morning I’ll be styling and taming any frizz with a teensy bit of Moroccan Oil Frizz and Static Control. This instantly smooths down that “just washed, fluffy” effect and leaves locks sleek and smooth. The Elasticizer is definitely the star of the show though, and the results are instant! If your locks need some loving you need it in your life ASAP.

Hi Tijan, I love to use the Caudalie oil in my hair (it smells really good and give amazing movement to my layers). I have a sample of the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer that I need to try. Xo, Alexandra

Have you ever tried the Macadamia Nut Oil Deep Repair Mask? It’s pretty good also, but when it’s finished I might give the PKE a try since you and Amelia have only good things to say about it.
