Introducing Japonesque

japonesque

Japonesque is a brand that’s been around for a while, but they’ve only just recently come into site of my radar. I’ve known for a while about their gorgeous brushes (despite the fact that I have yet to try them). I was incredibly excited to get the opportunity to test out three of their products. First thing is first, the packaging just rocks and all three products now sit proudly atop my dressing table!

japonesqueeyelashcurlers

The eyelash curlers may look like a Victorian torture device but they’re actually nothing but pure pleasure for your lashes. I curled my left eye with my regular Shu Uemura curlers and the right with the Japonesque ones and the left eye definitely had more volume and curl, whereas the right looked less flirty but still awake. I think if you’re after an every day lash curler that’s going to wake up your eyes without going Victoria’s Secret Angel on your lashes then these subtler pair are for you. I personally provide the lift of my Shu ones though seeing as I don’t use eyelash curlers every day – just for special occasions!
japonesquemascara

I have found my new favourite sophisticated mascara. This wont give you big clumpy 60s lashes, instead this offers a sleek and sophisticated elongated lash that looks gorgeous. A beautiful formula, and one that will work perfectly on ‘no makeup makeup’ days.

japonesquebronzer

The velvet touch blusher in shade 5 is more like a bronzer, contour and highlighter in one and leaves the most gorgeous sheen on the tops of cheekbones. It defines features beautifully and can be easily applied without any fancy techniques. It really works like a complexion perfector, perking up bits to leave a healthy and sculpted glow.

I feel like the overall theme of Japonesque makeup is sleek, minimalist and sophisticated functionality. I can’t wait to try more of their range – in particular their solid balm brush cleanser! A balm cleanser for you makeup brushes? Fancy!

Hi Tijan! I have never tried this brand but I think Fleur mentioned it some time ago. The packaging is gorgeous. Cant’ wait for your review about the brush cleansing balm. Xo, Alexandra
