Ah writing, it has been too long. I wanted to share these photos from a delicious lunch I had with my mum and sister a few weeks ago at They Ivy Cafe Marylebone, it was absolutely delicious and I think it’s my favourite out of the chain, there’s just something so cosy yet glamorous about it – my favourite mix.
I wore a chunky polo neck (H&M), leather look Zara shorts, Saint Laurent booties and my trusty Sandro coat.
I hope you guys have been keeping up to date with my Vlogmas? It has been intense, I always forget how emotionally draining it can be. My skin has been really bad (and is slowly getting better yay) after a nasty facial experience back in October so it took a lot of inner strength for me to decide to do Vlogmas with it in such a terrible state, I’ve felt so exposed and hyper aware of it but am thankful everyone has been so kind. Vlogging can make even the most beautiful unattractive (not that I count myself as one of them!) but carrying a camera around at awkward angles and showing the real “you” without picture perfect hair/makeup/outfit can feel daunting, but it’s the beauty of the beast – people would deem you too “fake” if you were too perfect looking in vlogs. It’s something I struggle with and it certainly plays on my insecurities, but I do my best to divorce myself from it and see it more as my job, it’s the best way to not beat yourself up over your appearance. Vlogmas may have been tough but it’s also so rewarding, I love filming/editing and producing videos all at the same time and the buzz when a new one goes live. I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey with me and I’m really excited for the last 12 days ahead. I’m striving to make each one better than the last and I can’t wait to get back to updating my blog more regularly!
