Holiday Skincare Saviour

It’s been a weird festive season for me, last week, which was arguably one of the biggest party weeks of the year, I was incredibly ill and so stayed wrapped up and warm, and when I did venture out I hardly ate or drank a thing, thanks to little to no appetite. However, I made up for that on Saturday by devouring two portions of Churros in Westfield, and I’m sure I’ll continue making up for last week this week too!

If your skin is already feeling the festive strain, then look no further at my holy grail cleanser. I’ve been using it on and off since Spring 2012 and I’ve recently reverted back to it. It’s the La Roche Posay Physiological Cleansing Gel. It smells faintly of lemonade, but don’t let that scare you, it’s designed for sensitive skin types, and my combination blemish prone complexion adores it. I rub it on to my skin (dry) and then emulsify with warm water, and remove either just straight with my hands (am) or with a warm flannel (pm) to pull out the impurities, makeup, and general grime from my skin. I feel so fresh after cleansing, but not in any way stripped – like not even a tiny bit. Skin feels smooth, supple and radiant. It fits perfectly well into my “no fuss” simple skincare routine, and I think it’s the perfect antidote to any festive skincare woes.

Trust me!

It sounds like something I might like. I personally love The Body Shop Nutriganics gel-oil softening cleanser. It’s very gentle on the skin, not drying and remove makeup and impurities as well. I have a review on my blog if you fancy a read.
