Finding a Use…

If you watched my French Pharmacy Haul the other day you’ll know that I didn’t take to the Nuxe Reve De Miel lip balm as well as others. The texture was incredibly gunky and the scent was a little too lemony for my liking. Fast forward four days and I’ve found the perfect use for it and have now fallen totally in love. This balm is magical when used under drying stain formulas like the Hourlgass Opaque Liquid Lipsticks. I dabbed on a little of the Nuxe lip balm (which rather conveniently dries totally matte) and then went in with the liquid lipstick and voila, a super duper hydrating lip stain was born. The stain didn’t cling to any dry patches or make my lips feel weirdly tight and the balm actually softened the colours making them a tad more wearable. Heck I even wore the combo to a spinning class and didn’t feel too “done”.

I would highly recommend grabbing yourself a pot of this lip balm to use in conjunction with drying lipstick or stain formulas, not only does it hydrate and keep lips nourished, but it also works fantastically well at bringing the wattage of super bright shades down a notch or two.

I’ve never really seen the appeal myself. It smells like old medecine and yes, the texture is gunky. Reve de Miel, why I was expecting a divine honey smell!
