Negotiating foundation ridiculously early is just never fun – it can all just feel like a little too heavy and a little too much for your skin. Now I’m not the world biggest fan of the whole BB/CC craze, but I think Smashbox are onto a winning pair with their new CC Cream and BB concealer.
Both have light reflecting qualities and leave a “your skin on a really good, glowy and even day”. I love that the CC cream feels like moisturiser on my skin – leaving it feeling really nourished and comfortable throughout the day. It feels more like a high coverage tinted moisturiser than other runny CC creams that just colour correct your skin pre foundation. I love that the coverage is enough to use on its own and the staying power is incredible.
I chose the BB concealer in a shade or two too light so that it also could be used as an under eye brightener and wow does this work – it banishes dark circles and bags and leaves you looking bright and perky. I love the consistency of these products, I love that both have SPF (not enough concealers have SPF in these days) and the lasting power is also pretty fantastic. These will no doubt be my go to pair for an easy, healthy medium coverage base – perfect for the Spring and Summer ahead.
