Over the weekend I spent some time with my cousin Jessica and she looked a-ma-zing. Like seriously. I begged her to tell me the secret to her super voluminous sexy curly hair and she told me that she’d simply liked a photo of Khloe Kardashian and then googled how to do it – the answer? Hair crimpers! Well wavers. Whilst crimping can give you a little bit of a cray 80s look, waving gives you tight natural beachy Beyonce/Carrie Bradshaw curls and can change up your whole look instantly. So yesterday I perused the aisles of boots before purchasing the Glamourise by Richard Ward Professional Speed Hair Waver and Curler – phew.
I tried it out instantly to gauge the feel of it, although it took a little longer than my usual 2 minute hair tonging, it was seriously foolproof to use – you literally just clamp down on your hair like an old fashioned crimper and move it down the hair shaft. You can change up the heat depending on your desired effect – I went full throttle. And you can change up the depth of the wave going from a soft gentle wave to a full on Beyonce. A truly genius product!
Do sleep on your hair without tying it up, it only adds to the beachy vibe and you wake up feeling like an extra on Game of Thrones. It’s some seriously cool stuff.
I did my hair in sections starting with the back to get a super curly look. I sprayed some Elnett on after and voila – super easy cool hair style that promises to stick around until the next hair wash. However – UNLIKE with tonged curls, brushing these out are simply not an option so DON’T even think about it. You will turn into Hermione Granger aged 11. Also DON’T use the hardcore settings on shorter hair, your hair will shorten by around two inches and that’s just not cute. Instead opt for the subtler setting to achieve a super natural sexy wave.
