Brush Up

Good brushes are something that I’ve failed to recognise for a while now. I kind of just always believed that “my fingers may as well do” and always felt a little overwhelmed by the number of brushes there are out there. I’ve had my eye on Real Technique brushes for a while, and whilst in Superdrug last week finally picked up their blush brush. I figured that it would make the perfect swoopy but tapered brush for applying bronzer as well as blush. Well let’s just say that one week later and I’m seriously hooked – it’s just about the softest darned thing I’ve ever swept over my face! It evenly distributes product without caking and does all the work for you.

At the same time I picked up this little Superdrug own brand eyeshadow brush for £2.99. Now I’m sure it’s no MAC 217, but boy does it do a great job at packing on eyeshadow as well as contouring eyes. Like the Real Techniques, it kind of does the hard work so you don’t have to. How have I ONLY just discovered the magic of brushes? I’m now hooked – I need them all. Which should I opt for next? I’m thinking Real Techniques core collection..?
