Bourjois CC Cream – the Lowdown

 

I’m a huge fan of light bases – always have been and always will be. Whilst I love a good blow dry from time to time, I’m actually a surprisingly low maintenance girl when it comes to beauty and heavy bases just scream “effort” to me. They’re all well and good for evenings out or super special occasions (weddings) but for day to day I like something lighter. When I did my own makeup for my registry office I wore the BareMinerals Serum foundation with a dab of NARS concealer. Simple, breathable makeup. So when I finally got my hands on the Bourjois CC cream I had high hopes.

My biggest problem with the product was the shade I chose, it came up slightly terracotta on my skin tone so required a hella lot of blending. However, once blended in I could admire the dewy yet not wet finish, the hydrated plumpness of the cheeks and the sheer but good coverage. I love how it hydrated my skin and how it felt light weight throughout the day. I’m intrigued to try a shade up and mix the two together to see if it could fall into a potential favourite. Stay tuned!
