Aesop Parsley Seed Mask- Review

As I’m sure all fellow skincare junkies can agree- masks are the best part. Taking 20 minutes out twice a week to slather on some skin goodness is such a treat, even more so when the results are instant. I like to have a working mask wardrobe, a couple of hydrating, a few exfoliating and a handful of decongesting clay masks which I like to rotate to keep things exciting. Yesterday I got a few split and squeeze sachet samples of Aesop’s Parsley Seed decongesting face mask and could hardly wait to get home, rid my skin of make up and grime and get down to business. The packet says to put an even, thin layer of the mask all over your face and neck and leave on for approx. 15 minutes. Infused with parsley seed, rosehip seed and evening primrose the mask has a distinctively earthy scent which I couldn’t quite make up my mind about but in the end decided I liked. The mask is for all skin types especially those who are prone to breakouts and oiliness.

Just as I was reaching the 15 minute mark my phone rang and my friend started telling me about her first day of her new job, I was so excited for her that I got a little caught up in the conversation, and 10 minutes later my face was ready to crack it felt so tight! I quickly rinsed the mask off and continued with the rest of my evening routine and I couldn’t believe how clear and glowing my skin looked. Supple and not at all dried out and totally rid of any budding blemishes- this is definitely my new favourite mid week pick me up. I’m also keen on trying their Parsley Seed toner too. For £27 the mask isn’t the cheapest on the market but it certainly packs a powerful punch and is your skins new best friend!
